THE CHALLENGE

A dual-crisis: Failing technology and rising safety needs

Holy Family, a small K-8 institution, faced a critical turning point: its core paging infrastructure was becoming unreliable just as the demand for advanced campus security reached an all-time high. Caught between failing hardware and a rigid budget, the school had no clear path to modernize its 16-classroom campus.

Failing legacy systems

The school’s antiquated paging and intercom hardware had become nearly unusable, making daily communication difficult and leaving the facility without a reliable way to broadcast critical information.

Budgetary constraints

With a tight budget and no dedicated funds for a massive tech overhaul, the administration was forced to prioritize between essential daily communication and much-needed security enhancements.

Rising safety gaps

Increasing security challenges required a modern, high-tech response, but the school’s fragmented infrastructure couldn’t support the AI-powered surveillance and real-time alerts needed to protect students.

THE SOLUTION

A single vision for safety and simplicity

By consolidating fragmented systems into the Quicklert One Platform, Holy Family transformed a complex technology overhaul into a streamlined, manageable project. This “Safe-Smart” approach allowed the administration to address paging, security, and intercom needs through a single procurement path.

A single-platform strategy

Rather than managing separate projects for paging and security, Quicklert offered a way to handle both requirements within a single project and a single procurement process.

Simplicity and experience

Bringing greater clarity to the school during emergencies while simplifying daily life for teachers. The ability to consolidate clocks, speakers, intercoms, and cameras into a handful of intelligent devices was the deciding factor.

The funding catalyst

The clarity of the One Platform mission acted as a catalyst for donor engagement. By presenting a unified solution that solved multiple problems at once, the administration was able to secure 100% of the required project funds in record time.

Strategic procurement

By combining communication and security into one platform, the school bypassed the complexity of traditional multi-stage upgrades. This “one-project” strategy turned a daunting technical challenge into a clear, fundable vision for the community.

THE DEPLOYMENT

How it works

In every one of the 16 classrooms, the wall-mounted ConnecTab acts as the nerve center for daily operations and safety, replacing four to five legacy systems, while throughout the school’s hallways, IP Speakers with dual cameras and displays ensure that no area is left without coverage, providing high-fidelity audio and total situational awareness.

Classroom PA and Intercom

For crystal-clear daily announcements and face-to-face communication. Beyond just basic paging, it facilitates seamless, two-way audio and video intercom calls between the classroom and the front office, ensuring teachers stay connected without ever leaving their students.

Digital Clock

Synchronized across the entire campus. Keeping a campus running on schedule is critical; the ConnecTab provides a high-visibility clock display that ensures every classroom and common area is aligned to the exact same second.

Silent Panic Button & Service Requests

For instant emergency alerts and daily operational requests. Teachers can discreetly trigger silent alarms or call for a nurse, janitor, or office help directly from the screen. This eliminates the need to send students to the front office, keeping teachers focused on their class while staff are notified in real-time.

Video Monitoring

Acting as an additional security eye within the classroom. The integrated high-definition camera provides real-time visual verification, giving the front office and first responders essential situational awareness during a critical event.

Future Telephone

The platform is designed to eventually serve as the classroom’s primary phone system. This allows the school to future-proof their investment by eventually phasing out legacy telephone hardware in favor of a single, managed device.

Visual Emergency Alerts

Integrated displays show clear text alerts and scrolling instructions during a crisis. These high-contrast visual cues ensure that even in noisy hallways, everyone knows exactly which protocol to follow and where to go.

Multi-Angle Surveillance

Built-in high-definition cameras monitor entire school activity. By providing multiple viewing angles, these cameras verify alerts in real-time and provide a comprehensive visual record of all campus movements for security personnel.

Unified Mass Notification

The Quicklert Connect App extends the platform’s reach beyond the physical building, delivering critical notifications directly to the devices of staff, parents, and students. Whether it is an urgent emergency alert or a routine weather update, the app ensures real-time communication reaches the entire community simultaneously, regardless of their location.

THE RESULTS

100% funded, fully unified, and future-proof

By transforming a failing infrastructure into a single, intelligent ecosystem, Holy Family Catholic School created a safer learning environment while securing total project funding in record time.

Unprecedented funding speed

By presenting a unified vision that addressed both daily communications and emergency safety, the school secured 100% of the required project funding within just 45 days.

Simplified infrastructure
