“We were looking for a system that was truly integrated, and we wanted hardware and software that could function together; where the communication throughout the building is clear from both an audio and visual standpoint.”

Head of The Wilson School
THE CHALLENGE
An aging system with no clear path forward
The Wilson School, a small K-8 institution, urgently needed to replace its old, barely functioning PA and intercom systems to meet modern safety demands. Faced with a tight budget and the increasing challenges of an antiquated infrastructure, the school had limited options for upgrading its critical communication and emergency response capabilities.
Antiquated systems
The old, barely functioning PA and intercom systems offered diminishing returns and significant reliability issues.
Budgetary roadblock
With a tight budget and no dedicated funds, a full-scale replacement seemed out of reach for the small school.
Rising safety concerns
Increasing safety challenges required a modern, reliable emergency communication system the school didn’t have.
THE SOLUTION
A smarter path to a safer campus
Quicklert’s platform allowed The Wilson School to use state emergency grants to fund a state-of-the-art communication and safety system.
Total system replacement
A single system replaced bells, PA, intercoms, and clocks from multiple, antiquated vendors.
Built-in emergency features
Video monitoring, one-touch alerts, mass notifications, and panic buttons are all integrated into the core platform.
Seamless aesthetics
High-technology look and feel with AI-powered cameras hidden in plain sight, blending into the school’s unique design.
Funded by security grants
Because Quicklert includes emergency features, the school was able to fund the entire project using state emergency grants.
THE DEPLOYMENT
How it works
The Wilson School discovered a smarter path to a safer campus. Because the Quicklert platform integrates emergency features like video monitoring and mass notifications into its core, the school was able to use state emergency grants to fund a complete, state-of-the-art communication and safety system, solving their budget, technology, and safety challenges in a single project.
Seamless audio & video communication
In the hallways, new Quicklert IP speakers deliver crystal-clear audio announcements and bells. Inside classrooms, the ConnecTab provides live video announcements and two-way video intercom calls, ensuring communication throughout the building is clear from both an audio and visual standpoint.
Discreet, high-tech security
AI-powered cameras are built directly into the ConnecTab devices. This provides comprehensive video coverage for the first time ever in every classroom. The high-technology solution blends seamlessly into the school’s unique design, providing security without the feel of a stoic surveillance system.
Modernized classroom tools
The ConnecTab in each classroom also serves as a central hub for teachers. It provides an always-on digital clock and visual timers, but its core function is safety and support. Using the simple interface, teachers can request a call from the front office, silently ask for behavior or medical assistance, or activate a panic button for immediate emergency response, all while replacing multiple antiquated devices.
Crisis-proven emergency response
The system provides one-touch help buttons and mass alert capabilities for any situation. This was put to the ultimate test when a tornado damaged the campus. The Quicklert platform handled all emergency communications flawlessly, proving its reliability when it mattered most.
Mobile access & messaging
The platform also includes the Quicklert Connect mobile app, connecting teachers and parents through secure messaging and extending the safety network beyond the physical school building.
Simplified central management
The entire communications and safety system is managed from a single pane of glass by a single staff member, dramatically reducing administrative complexity and allowing for instant updates and configuration changes.
