COO & EVP

Sam Hoffner is our COO and EVP of Operations responsible for the strategic leadership and management of Quicklert™ operations. A disciplined leader, obsessed with creating the highest quality teams, products, processes and services, Sam’s approach centers around his focus on the continuous improvement of lean processes. Sam brings to Quicklert™ a personal passion for our mission, as tragedy affected his Parkland, FL community in 2018. With two children attending Parkland schools, Sam is deeply driven to develop safe-smart technologies that keep our loved ones informed, empowered and safe.

Sam began his career producing digital marketing programs for brands such as Coca-Cola, American Express, Tourism New Zealand, the Olympic Winter Games and more. He was later recruited into operations, and within a few years, was promoted to Vice President of Operations & Facilities for Kaplan, a $2.6 billion global provider of education services. At Kaplan, Sam was responsible for the design, construction and day-to-day operations of Kaplan’s offices and learning campus locations, including campus safety and security, business continuity and emergency response.

STE(A)M Truck

Prior to joining Quicklert, Sam was the Chief Operating Officer of Wholesale Carrier Services, a global facilities-based telecommunications carrier that provides comprehensive network services to mid-size and large enterprise clients (annual telecommunications budgets of $500K+). In this role, Sam was responsible for the strategic leadership, management and continuous improvement of WCS' international operations globally, including service delivery, network operations, information technology, network engineering, customer excellence and billing. Sam successfully built and optimized large, globally-distributed teams while driving significant improvements through solid leadership, process innovation and people development with a consistent focus on the customer.

Sam is also a founding board member of Community Guilds, an Atlanta based non-profit committed to closing opportunity gaps and catalyzing transformation in education through the award-winning STE(A)M Truck. This growing fleet of mobile makerspaces, combined with a highly innovative, multi-faceted STEM and Arts curriculum, provides students and their teachers the opportunity and guidance to get out of their comfort zones.

When not behind a computer, Sam enjoys playing percussion and being outdoors scuba diving, hiking and camping with his wife and children. Sam holds a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication from the University of Florida, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
